Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has reportedly emerged as a January target for AS Monaco.
The Blues star is being heavily linked with a mid-season exit from Stamford Bridge, with the likes of AC Milan touted as a potential destination in recent weeks.
However, according to claims from France Football, as reported by GFFN via Twitter, they could face opposition from Monaco.
The Ligue 1 side have struggled immensely this season and currently languish in the relegation zone.

This has led manager Thierry Henry to explore potential transfer targets as the turn of the year draws ever closer, with Fabregas understood to be among those under consideration.
Under Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri, the Spaniard has fallen out of favour and finds himself playing a sporadic role in the first team.
The likes of Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic and N’Golo Kante have all been preferred for Premier League fixtures, leaving Fabregas to settle for opportunities in cup competitions.
Nevertheless, he could be on his way out of West London in January, as interest from across Europe continues to build.
