Bernd Leno has claimed that Arsenal are “disappointed” despite Arsenal’s 16-match unbeaten run (via Arsenal.com).
He was Arsenal’s best player on the night as Bernd Leno helped the Gunners make it 16 matches without defeat in all competitions.
The German goalkeeper made a string of excellent saves to keep the scoreline low as the Gunners scored late in a 1-1 draw.
Arsenal did not play well and many fans will go away from the match slightly pleased with the point but Leno has insisted that the Gunners players were disappointed with the night.
“Of course we are 16 games unbeaten, but we have to win these games because these games at home are very important. Today the result is a little bit disappointing,” Leno said after the match.
“I think both teams had many choices and at the end, we could have won or lost, so the result is okay for the performance
“I think if we conceded the second goal then the game would have been finished so it was important to concede just the one goal so that we had the chance to at least draw. At the end, we could have won this game.”
Arsenal are 16 games unbeaten but it’s good to hear that the squad was disappointed with the result last night. It’s not ideal to drop points at home to a newly-promoted team like Wolves and it’s good that the players seem to know it.
