According to Goal, Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is keen on bringing Brescia starlet Sandro Tonali to Stamford Bridge.
The 18-year-old, who is thought to be worth around €20 million, is also being monitored by Italian giants Juventus, Roma and Sarri’s former side Napoli.
Tonali is regarded as one of Europe’s future stars, with many in Italy describing the central midfielder as the next Andrea Pirlo.
Since making his first-team debut at the age of 17, the teenager has gone on to make 30 appearances for Brescia, earning himself a call up to Italy’s senior national team in the process, after a series of consistent displays in Serie B.
Blues boss Sarri sees Tonali as a possible alternative to fellow Italian midfielder Jorginho, who joined Sarri at Stamford Bridge over the summer and has gone on to be a standout performer in Chelsea’s strong start to the season.
And with Chelsea set to shift a few players out when the window opens in January, Sarri may well explore the possibility of bringing Tonali to the club as soon as possible.
