David Luiz is eyeing a new deal at Chelsea but talks with the club are yet to take place.
According to a report from Goal, Luiz wants to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge as he approaches the latter stages of his current deal.
The Brazilian has cemented himself as a favourite under Maurizio Sarri this season.
Luiz was banished from the first-team picture under Antonio Conte but has been rejuvenated under Sarri since his arrival from Napoli.
For the most part, Luiz has formed a solid relationship with Antonio Rudiger at the back as Chelsea continue to try and improve defensively.
However, the defender is out of contract at the end of the season and at the age of 31, any potential deal will come down to the club’s stance on his long-term future.
Chelsea are keen not to offer long-term deals to players over the age of 30, but instead, keep them on rolling deals to protect themselves in the market.
