Tiemoue Bakayoko finally appears to be on the right track at Milan in Serie A after a poor start to the season.
The Chelsea loanee was slammed in the Italian media during the early stages of his move to the San Siro but is now continuing to show signs that he is adapting to life in Italy.
Having struggled at Stamford Bridge under Antonio Conte, he was deemed surplus to requirements under Maurizio Sarri this season.
Now working under another former tenacious midfielder in Gennaro Gattuso, Bakayoko is hoping to win over the fans.
Speaking about his time in Milan so far, as reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Bakayoko has high hopes for the remainder of the campaign.
My position has changed, but I believe that I have done well: I have been able to help the team more. I am upset about the result against Juventus, however, this is football. But I am happy with how I played.
I don’t like being whistled, but I understand it. I hope they applaud me soon. I have done good things but I am only at the beginning. I hope to be decisive and to help Milan reenter the top four in Serie A.
It had been suggested that Milan could look to end the loan deal early, but that now appears unlikely, with the Frenchman keen to get his career back on track following a difficult spell since leaving Monaco.
