Sky Sports pundits Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher provided a fantastic analysis of Anthony Martial at Manchester United on Monday night.
Speaking on Monday Night Football, the former-Premier League defenders gave a masterclass on Martial’s weaknesses and why he’s not yet anywhere near the level of other forwards in England.
The Man United attacker has scored four goals in his last league games for the Reds, but Neville and Carragher criticised his lack of consistency, as you can watch below.

"If he doesn't score, what does he actually bring to the game?"@Carra23 and @GNev2 compare Anthony Martial to wingers such as Sadio Mane and Eden Hazard.

It’s an interesting analysis of Martial given the praise he’s been given in the last couple of weeks. Against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, the 22-year-old was United’s best player on the pitch as he scored twice.
The same could be said for United’s 2-1 win against Everton at the weekend, where Martial scored United’s second goal. He was the most exciting player on the pitch, linking well with compatriot Paul Pogba.
However, in midweek against Juventus, Martial did have a poor performance. As Carragher and Neville suggested, Martial had a 10/10 against Chelsea, a 4/10 against Juventus and a 9/10 against Everton.
That consistency, or lack thereof, is what separates Martial from the Hazard, Salah and Mane at the moment. Hopefully it’ll come in the next few weeks as his confidence builds and he gets a good run of games.
