Chelsea hold the cards in Tottenham and Manchester United’s pursuit of Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake.
The Telegraph reports that both clubs would be forced to wait for Chelsea to make a decision on the player before finding out whether or not they could land him in a £40 million deal.
Chelsea inserted a buy-back clause in the deal to take Ake to Bournemouth on a permanent basis.
After selling the Dutch defender to Bournemouth in a £20 million deal, the two clubs agreed that Chelsea would get first refusal for a fee in the region of £40 million.

Bournemouth would be forced into alerting Chelsea of any bid that was launched for the defender, leaving them with a decision to make.
The report claims that Chelsea are yet to show any willingness in a deal to re-sign the defender, who has been impressing for Bournemouth this season.
Spurs are said to be big admirers as they look to strengthen defensively, with Toby Alderweireld continuing to be linked with a move away from the club.
