Anthony Martial has admitted that he’s pleased with his recent form for Manchester United and is enjoying his life at the club.
The Frenchman scored his fourth goal in his last three Premier League games for the Reds in a 2-1 win against Everton on Sunday afternoon.
Although Martial struggled to make an impact on Tuesday night against Juventus in Man United’s 1-0 loss but was the best player on the pitch against Everton, having netted two at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea last weekend.
He’s struggled under Jose Mourinho since the Portuguese coach replaced Louis van Gaal in 2016 but is now regularly starting and impressing with the backing of Mourinho.
“I’m happy and in good form at this moment,” Martial revealed to Sky Sports after the game.
It’s great to see the 22-year-old looking confident again and taking players on with the same kind of regularity as in his blisteringly good first season at United.
Under van Gaal in that season, Martial scored 17 goals as United’s main striker despite only being a teenager.
Having scored five this season, he could finally get somewhere near that figure again.
