Anthony Martial produced a second half attacking masterclass during Manchester United’s dramatic 2-2 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The Frenchman, who scored the equaliser against Newcastle last time out, plundered home a half volley to bring Man United level early in the second half.
And his second goal was even better: a perfectly timed low strike around Thibaut Courtois from Marcus Rashford’s pass across the box.
A quick glance at the stats shed light on what was a wonderful display from Martial.

This game was, above anything, an indication of what this United team can be: slick, confident, driving forward with menace and skill, scoring goals. United ramped up several gears after the break, playing in a way which reminded the watching worlds of what this club should be about.
And at the centre of that was Martial, twisting and turning and bursting forward fearlessly, giving Chelsea’s back four all sorts of problems coming in from the left hand side.
That is now three goals this season. And it looks as if Martial, finally, has emerged from the ashes left by Alexis Sanchez’s woeful form and cemented himself as somebody whose attacking splendour is too good for Jose Mourinho to ignore.
