Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly interested in jumping into the transfer market despite academy product Marcus Rashford‘s meteoric rise.
The young star has gone from strength to strength since announcing himself to Old Trafford but it seems as though Mourinho is looking elsewhere for talent.
Rashford has had a brighter campaign this time around compared to last season and has typically been a key figure in the manager’s side.
The English international is the only player so far this year to be involved in every single match United have played in whether as a starter or a substitute.
However, Jose may be keen to address an area in the squad he already announced was lacking in quality- the winger position.
According to Manchester Evening News the Portuguese boss is finally ready to sign a winger although he appeared fine with trusting Marcus and Anthony Martial.
Both youngsters have had great starts to the campaign but have started to drop off in form in recent matches which may have sparked the former Chelsea man’s decision.
Despite the pair’s successes this season, they’re both still inexperienced and are currently going through the steep phases of their careers.
It’s rare to see a club rely on a youngster to deliver on a regular basis let alone two youngsters and let alone a club of United’s size.
The arrival of a winger doesn’t have to spell doom for either player though with Jose Mourinho possibly pushing them both back to their natural positions as strikers.
