Marcus Rashford scored his second England goal in as many games against Switzerland at the King Power stadium last night.
The youngster, who only has one goal in his last 15 games under Jose Mourinho, was England’s goalscorer in their 2-1 defeat to Spain over the weekend, netting from close range following Luke Shaw‘s pinpoint cross.
He was England’s focal point in attack during a cagey game against Switzerland, driving his team forward with some driving runs through the middle.
And he was in the right place at the right time to meet Kyle Walker’s cross, stroking home a half volley in the box to hand England their first win since the World Cup.

Rashford has found the net in consecutive games for England. Over at Old Trafford, however, he has only managed three goals since March.
That, to me, is no coincidence. Southgate has given Rashford a chance to play through the middle, sitting just off the shoulder of the left-sided central defender, and chances have come his way. More importantly, he has finished them.
Rashford has failed to do that too often at Old Trafford. His bit part role out wide at United is suffocating the goalscoring part of his game which, when given the chance to shine, can be extremely effective.
