Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has demanded more intensity from Eden Hazard during training and believes that if he trains hard, then he will become the best player in the world.
As reported on the Belfast Telegraph, Sarri is in awe of Hazard’s talents and can’t stop praising the Belgian, whose late goal at Anfield sealed a 2-1 victory in the Carabo Cup against Liverpool.
Hazard has been in fine form this season and already has six goals in all competitions, whilst also being named in The Best FIFA Team of the Year.
However, Sarri is adamant that Hazard has still not reached 100% of his potential and has given the playmaker some advice. He said:
I think that he is for sure one of the best, but I am absolutely convinced that he can improve. If he’s able to improve during training maybe he will be able to use and serve at 100 per cent. Because I think that we have seen only 75, 80 per cent of his potential.
So I think that if he’s able to improve he will be the best in the world. It’s very difficult to compare him with other players. He’s a genius. He’s unique.
Technically I think he’s the best. And so I want him to be the best in the world. It’s a very interesting challenge I think. He has a lot to give, to the team, to the staff. And I want everything.
Hazard will be looking to be at his best once again against Liverpool this weekend as the Blues host Jurgen Klopp’s side in a massive Premier League encounter.
