Wolves have reportedly set a price-tag on their star player Ruben Neves after he became a target for Manchester United.
The midfielder recently impressed in the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford last weekend but the interest started way before that.
United were interested in signing someone who can improve their engine room for quite some time and eventually settled on Fred.
Despite the Brazilian joining, it’s believed Jose Mourinho is still keen on bringing in Neves as well.
Manchester City are likely to rival if any sort of attempt is made but it could be that neither club will be capable of securing his signature.
According to Manchester Evening News, the Times report that Wolves have set a £110m price-tag on Ruben’s head in an effort to scare away the Red Devils from making a bid.
Though the Portuguese is clearly talented it’s hard to imagine where he would fit in within a midfield three of Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic and Fred.
Perhaps the interest in Neves is so the Serbian has a successor when he retires but the belief was Andreas Pereira was the one to do so.
Nonetheless, there’s always room that can be made for talented individuals and there’s no doubt the Wolves man fits that category.
