Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has provided fans with the necessary squad news for the match vs Derby on Tuesday.
The two teams meet for the Carabao Cup fixture that could potentially see the Portuguese manager rotate his players.
Perhaps one or two youth academy players could make an appearance as well though Mourinho is more likely to hand match-time to first-team players who haven’t gotten any recently.
Whoever features United will need them at their best to secure an easy victory at Old Trafford.
The former Chelsea manager may be tempted to employ new tactics in tomorrow’s match in a bid to recover from the disappointing draw against Wolves last weekend.
According to Manchester Evening News, Jose said to MUTV: “Ander [Herrera] is ready. Marcos Rojo is the only player that is not available through injury and it’s Marcus Rashford‘s last suspension match.”
The match against Derby offers Ander Herrera the perfect opportunity to attempt to return to his best.
The Spaniard was named the Red Devils’ player of the season in Mourinho’s first season in charge but failed to replicate that form last season.
Herrera was used as a deeper midfielder playing alongside Paul Pogba and it clearly had a positive effect on him.
Last campaign his role changed after Nemanja Matic was introduced to the squad so it’ll take a large effort from him to turn things around back in his favour.
