Paul Pogba has informed Jose Mourinho that he wants to leave Manchester United, the Telegraph‘s James Ducker has confirmed.
Reports yesterday claimed Pogba, following his comments in the wake of Man United’s 1-1 draw with Wolves, had been told by Jose Mourinho – in front of the whole squad – that he would never captain the club again.
Mourinho confirmed after his side’s League Cup loss to Derby County that Pogba had indeed been stripped of the vice-captaincy, but stressed there was no feud between the two.
According to Ducker, a notoriously reliable source, Pogba has made it clear to the boss that he wants to leave. His agent, Mino Raiola, refused to deny that his client could join Barcelona in the near future.
Is it true Paul Pogba has told Mourinho he wants to leave #mufc and join Barcelona. Raiola: "I have no comments". Can you deny that Pogba has told Mourinho he wants out and to go to Barca? "I have no comments".

The writing is on the wall. For both Mourinho and Pogba. The manager, for one thing, is at loggerheads with his best player – a huge dressing room figure – and the public confirmation of strife occurring between himself and his players can only really end in his dismissal.
For Pogba, who called out Mourinho’s tactical dysfunction, there seems to be little reason for staying in a side playing miles below its potential when an offer from the La Liga champions is lying in wait.
