Juventus lay out January plans for massive double swoop, including from Manchester United - report

Paul Pogba is the target of a huge Juventus January double swoop of talent as they look to finally get their hands on the UEFA Champions League.

The Old Lady have been pursuing the big-eared trophy for the last few seasons, but have fallen short of the mark every time, though not without coming incredibly close.

Now having won the Serie A title on seven consecutive occasions, all focus is on the Champions League. Cristiano Ronaldo swapped Madrid for Turin in summer in one of the biggest transfers of the last coupe of years, in a massive statement of intent from Juventus.

Tuttosport, an Italian outlet, now suggest that Juventus will use Ronaldo’s relationship with Brazilian left-back Marcelo to bring him in from Real Madrid as well.

Not only that, though. The sporting director at the Allianz Stadium, Fabio Paratici, has his eyes set on a return for Paul Pogba to Italy.

Pogba joined Manchester United in 2016 for £89 million, having being at the club as a teenager. Now, with a frosty relationship growing every frostier with manager Jose Mourinho, and some fans unhappy with the way Pogba has touted himself in the media, he could be owing back to the north of Italy in January.

Other reports, including from CalcioMercato, another Italian outlet, have suggested that United would be willing to consider Pogba going to Barcelona or Juventus in January if it meant they could sign Paulo Dybala from Juventus.

Paratici may therefore look to utilise that interest from United in Dybala to complete his own target of signing both Pogba and Marcelo in order to win the Champions League.
