Chelsea star Ruben Loftus-Cheek has described team-mate Andreas Christensen as his ‘partner in crime’ after opening up on his friendships within the squad, the Daily Mail reports.
Loftus-Cheek and Christensen played together for Chelsea’s academy before they both broke into the first-team squad so have a solid friendship.
Loftus-Cheek spoke to the club’s official website about his relationships within the squad and was asked who he sits with on the way to away games.
I sit with Andreas Christensen because we’ve known each other for a long time. He normally watches a series, but I’m not watching anything in particular at the moment so I just play some games on my phone or listen to music.
Loftus-Cheek stated that he also spends a lot of his lunch time with Christensen, before revealing his thoughts on his teammate when he first saw him play.
Usually Andreas, he’s my partner in crime. I’ve played with him since we were about 16. I remember when I first saw him play, he made it look so easy. He’s so talented.
The young starlet went on to state who he believes in the joker amongst the Chelsea squad.
Rudiger. He loves to talk but he’s a very funny guy.
The England international was also asked for the Chelsea website who amongst the squad took the longest to learn English.
I’m not sure about the longest but Jorginho already speaks it very well. He was good as soon as he arrived, but now he’s even picked up the slang as well.
He finished off with some kind words about his Spanish team-mate Cesar Azpilicueta.
Cesar Azpilicueta always has something positive to say in the dressing room, whether we’ve won or lost. After a defeat he will tell us to keep our chins up and move on to the next game, so that’s always good.
