Ajax star David Neres has emerged as a transfer target for Chelsea, according to a report from Calciomercato.
The Brazilian attacker has been catching the eye since he completed a switch to Ajax following an impressive season in his homeland with Sao Paulo.
Neres, formerly a Brazil U20 international, is an integral part of Ajax’s first-team plans but has seemingly been eyed up by potential suitors from across Europe, with Chelsea the latest side to be linked.
The 21-year-old, who can play all across the front three, has netted on one occasion in his opening four Eredivisie fixtures this season, with Ajax enjoying a strong start to the campaign.
Neres has previously been heavily linked with a move to the top-flight of English football but has remained at Ajax, with the winger continuing to develop under the tutelage of Erik ten Hag.
However, as he continues to impress in the Netherlands, it seems Chelsea have been left interested by the prospect of making a move in the near future.
