Manchester United star Eric Bailly believes Paul Pogba was right for his post-match comments about an attitude problem.
The Frenchman had openly admitted following the shock loss against Brighton the players didn’t seem to have the same hunger, including himself in the conversation.
Pogba’s public criticisms of himself and the United stars saw him come under fire from pundits and the media.
Bailly though has defended his teammate, agreeing with the midfielder and calling on the rest of his colleagues to put the loss behind them.
The Ivorian and his coworkers have the perfect opportunity to move on if they can grab a win against Tottenham on Monday evening.
According to Manchester Evening News, Eric said to the Mirror: “What Paul talked about was the attitude of the players.
“I don’t think we took it into the game. I think it was a bad day for all of the players, the whole team underperformed. We need to put it behind us.”
It’s good to see the players are all on the same page and it goes to show that Jose Mourinho isn’t entirely at fault for the dire display.
The Portuguese manager isn’t entirely faultless either but the criticism thrown his way has been at times unfair.
Mourinho’s had to deal with a mess of a board who don’t seem to trust him at the moment and players who aren’t willing to put their lives on the line for the club.
Fans have long complained about how players at United no longer have the right attitude or aren’t as professional as they should be.
