Roma star Kostas Manolas has hinted at a potential transfer to Manchester United after admitting it’s only natural to want to play for the club.
The defender is thought to be one of the players on Jose Mourinho’s transfer shortlist as he bids to improve his squad ahead of the next season.
With an ongoing World Cup it was always going to be difficult to bring in players but so far United have done decently with Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant.
However, fans as well as Mourinho definitely still want a signing or two more before it can be considered a successful summer or even one that’s good enough to challenge Manchester City.
Manolas has practically issued a ‘come and get me’ plea that the Portuguese manager will certainly have taken notice to with it potentially leading to an actual transfer.

It could be that Kostas is angling for a contract renewal with Roma instead but it’s also a situation United can take advantage on with the defence a clear area in need of investment.
While Dalot is a welcome addition there’s still a need to address the rest of the defence and the Greek surely represents an experienced and proven player.
