Manchester United are currently not budging over former star Cristiano Ronaldo’s availability despite his wish to leave Real Madrid in the current transfer window, according to reports from Italy.
Ronaldo is looking for a fresh challenge after nine successful years in Spain, and Italian giants Juventus are considered to be frontrunners for his signature in what would be the largest deal of the summer, without question.
The 33-year-old has teased a La Liga departure for a few years now which has given Man United fans false hope that he will one day return to the club where he grew to be the phenomenal player today, but Jose Mourinho is said to have no interest in pursuing him just yet.
According to reputable Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri, United are currently not interested in trying to lure Ronaldo back to Old Trafford despite his wish to leave Real this summer.
Despite winning four Champions League titles in the past five seasons, the five-time Ballon D’Or winner is thought to be unhappy at the Santiago Bernabeu and is looking for a way out ahead of the 2018-19 season.
It seems like Mourinho prefers Ronaldo’s Real team-mate Gareth Bale, who is also frustrated at the 33-time La Liga champions, and the Portuguese could agree terms with Juventus as early as next week.
