Real Madrid have expressed interest in prizing Marcus Rashford away from Manchester United this summer, according to reports from Spain.
Big changes are expected at the Bernabeu this summer with Julen Lopetegui taking charge and Cristiano Ronaldo seemingly on course for a move to Juventus.
This is not the first time the European champions have registered an interest in Rashford, who recently demonstrated his nerves of steel in England’s penalty shootout win over Colombia.
And according to Madrid media outlet OK Diaro, Real are lining up a bid for Rashford as they look to foster a new generation of attacking players at the Bernabeu.
This rumour presumably comes off the back of the notion that Rashford is unhappy at Man United, consigned to the bench, his development stunted.
But that is just not true. He made 52 appearances last season – just one fewer than his total in the previous campaign during which he was the most capped player in the side – and has started in the FA Cup final, alongside Premier League games against Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
And now he finds himself at the World Cup, just two wins away from the final. At the age of 20, he is doing just fine at United.
