Chelsea target set for medical with Monaco

Chelsea target Aleksandar Golovin is set for a medical with AS Monaco on Thursday ahead of his move to the Ligue 1 side.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have no agreement with CSKA Moscow and Monaco are set to close the deal.

Chelsea were previously thought to have agreed a deal for Golovin, with reports claiming that the Russian midfielder had also sorted out personal terms with the club.

However, he now looks set to complete his move to Monaco and Chelsea will miss out on one of their key targets.

Golovin impressed for Russia at the World Cup this summer and had attracted interest from a number of teams, with Monaco set to beat the competition.
