The President of CSKA Moscow has denied that Chelsea have completed a deal to sign Aleksandr Golovin, football.london reports
The Russian starlet has attracted a large amount of interest this summer, in particular from the Premier League.
Serie A giants Juventus had been leading the race for the Russian, who enjoyed a successful World Cup with his nation, however after landing Cristiano Ronaldo last week they now look set to end their interest in the midfielder.
Chelsea and Arsenal have also been keeping tabs on the player, with rumours circulating this week that Chelsea have already agreed a deal in principle to take Golovin to Stamford Bridge.
CSKA Moscow president Yevgeny Giner seems to have accepted that the club are to lose their star player this summer, however they will not let him go unless it is for what they believe to be an acceptable fee.
I believe that Sasha can grow into a big star. I’m not sure that this can happen in the Russian championship. The level of the English Premier League or the championship of Spain is much higher.
In order not to ruin Sasha, we must let him go. But we have no solution for today. When we receive an offer, we always try to negotiate openly. Indeed, we were visited by the vice-president of Monaco and made a proposal for Golovin.
