Barcelona are expected to tempt Chelsea’s resolve with a second bid for Willian, according to a report from the Daily Mail.
The La Liga Champions’ first bid in the region of £50 million was rejected with the Premier League looking for something in the region of £70 million.
Willian’s relationship with Antonio Conte has broken down and is beyond repair, most evident by the Brazilian’s Instagram post consisting of trophies hiding the current Chelsea head coach during the FA Cup celebrations.
The 29-year-old made 36 appearances in the Premier League last season, starting 20 times and was used as a substitute in the remaining 16 games.
The Brazilian scored six goals while assisting eight. His last Premier League goal came in the 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace on March 10.
Willian addressed rumours about his future to Mundo Deportivo, as reported by the Metro.
Willian admitted that he was ‘in the dark’ but intensified rumours to Barcelona due to comments about his friendship with Philippe Coutinho and Paulinho.
I’m following the information about Barcelona on the internet but I still do not know anything.
The Brazilian has also reportedly instructed his agent, Kia Joorabchian to negotiate a deal with the Catalan side.
Joorabchian has been involved in transfer negotiations since 2006 and was part of negotiations which saw Willian move to Chelsea back in 2013 from the Russian club, Anzhi Makhachkala.
