Brazil manager Tite has explained just why Manchester United fan’s didn’t get to see their new signing in action during the World Cup.
Fred suffered an unfortunate injury ahead of the tournament in Russia and seemingly couldn’t brush it off despite being spotted in training.
The midfielder might have been able to force himself into Tite’s plans had he been fully fit and it’s understood United fans don’t have to be too concerned.
Fred’s lack of appearances was down to not being match sharp rather than not being able to run at all so he should still feature at some point in pre-season.
The Red Devils are back in the United States of America once more this summer as Jose Mourinho was pleased with how things were organised last time around.

Fred, along with other Manchester United stars who featured in the World Cup, may not be present abroad until they have some rest during their holidays.
Either way, Mourinho will be more concerned with ensuring his new signings adjust to their new surroundings as soon as possible so that they can be involved with the first team.
United fans had to be patient last season with Victor Lindelof struggling to adapt immediately though Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic didn’t need the time.
