Real Madrid and France star Raphael Varane has revealed just how he’ll deal with Belgium’s Romelu Lukaku despite praising him for being problematic.
The two European nations will go head to head in the World Cup’s semi-finals stage in a hugely anticipated clash with a final on the line.
Lukaku has been in fine form for his country despite not scoring in the past two matches, receiving praise from teammates, former players and sections of the media.
The powerful striker is though still in with a shout for the Golden Boot award as he managed to grab four goals in the first two matches of the group stages.
Varane and Romelu are certain to face each other barring any injuries and it could very much be that head to head battle that will decide the tie.
Both players are crucial for their respective countries and both will certainly be hoping to get their hands on the World Cup trophy for the first time.
Varane: “Lukaku? He is a player that is problematic to any defence due to his physical capacity. He’s a very powerful player. He has great ability to score and to take advantage of every space left by the opponent. We will leave the least possible space.” #mufc [RTBF]

Raphael himself could become teammates with Lukaku if reports are to be believed as he’s been linked with reunion with Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.
It was the Portuguese manager who initially gave the Frenchman his debut for Madrid and the relationship they share could prove useful.
