Manchester United outcast Daley Blind is reportedly being considered as a top priority for Serie A giants Inter Milan this summer.
Blind was rumoured to be one of the players in danger of being offloaded when Jose Mourinho arrived at the club as manager in the summer of 2016 but ended up staying for the 2016-17 season.
However, the Dutchman only featured 17 times across the 2017-18 campaign and admitted he would consider his future after being omitted from the FA Cup Final squad.
Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport report that Inter are in search of a left-sided defender and have identified Blind as a priority.
Manager Luciano Spalletti is aiming to bolster his squad ahead of the club’s Champions League return next season and Blind has plenty of European experience under his belt.
Gazzetta dello Sport also note that Inter sent scouts to Turin to watch the versatile defender as the Netherlands took on Italy on Monday night.
United manager Mourinho is thought to be open to the idea of selling Blind, as well as Luke Shaw and Matteo Darmian, with the latter reportedly nearing a Serie A move himself as a transfer to Juventus nears completion.
Blind is a useful squad member, a good footballer and can play as a defender or midfielder, so it’d be a shame to see depart but players simply need minutes and that’s what he’ll get in Italy.
