Marcus Rashford is the next footballing name to back Paul Pogba’s ability following a tough spell in his career.
Expectations were through the roof for Pogba when he made an £89m return to Manchester United in 2016 after four years at Juventus.
The Frenchman has endured a tough first two years back in England, picking up plenty of criticism and unnecessary hate along the way, and is now even being turned on by some international supporters.
Current France team-mates, his manager Didier Deschamps, former French players and Man United team-mates have already heaped praise on Pogba this summer now, and Rashford has been the next to do so.
Speaking to EA ahead of the World Cup this summer, the 20-year-old forward said: “Pogba? He’s an all round player, he can be whatever he wants to be, he can play 10, 8 or 6, he’s got it all.
“Honestly his ability and talent is amazing, he’s a box to box midfield player. He’s got a massive personality, he will be a very good leader.”
Rashford will represent England at his first World Cup in Russia – which kicks off on Thursday – and is in contention of starting as part of Gareth Southgate’s side.
He has conjured up a strong friendship with Pogba since the dynamic midfielder arrived at Old Trafford and also suffered a frustrating 2017-18 season.
After the arrival of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal in January, game time was limited for Rashford so he’ll be hoping a strong performance in the World Cup will offer him a rise in Jose Mourinho’s expectations ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.
