Manchester United reportedly have no interest in selling Anthony Martial this summer, despite the player’s agent confirming he wants to leave the club.
Martial’s agent Philippe Lamboley revealed to RMC on Wednesday that his client was looking to depart from Old Trafford following a breakdown in contract talks.
Negotiations over a contract extension for Martial have been ongoing for months, but terms have not yet been agreed and it now seems set the 22-year-old will move elsewhere either this summer or on the expiration of his current deal.
Despite the player’s wish to leave Manchester, BBC’s Simon Stone reports that Man United have ‘no intention’ of letting him leave ahead of the 2018-19 season.
Been told @ManUtd have no intention of selling Anthony Martial. Still has one year + option for additional season left on his contract.

As noted, the Frenchman’s current contract runs until the end of next season but United do have the option of a further year should they feel the need to trigger the clause.
Martial was arguably one of the club’s better performing players in the first half of last campaign before Alexis Sanchez arrived from Arsenal in January and completely tarnished his game time.
It comes as no surprise that the young forward is looking for a way out of United following the lack of faith shown in him by Jose Mourinho, but it’d be a colossal loss if a transfer away does materialise.
