Antonio Conte has stressed that he has a “normal” relationship with Jose Mourinho and insisted he would shake his hand ahead of the FA Cup final on Saturday.
The pair came to blows in scathing fashion earlier in the season, with Conte accusing Mourinho of having ‘senile dementia’ and the Portuguese hitting back by mentioning his match-fixing charges.
Mourinho recently noted that the waters had since calmed between the two, revealing they had a chat in his office following Man United’s 2-1 win over Chelsea in February.
Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Conte insisted that his relationship with the 55-year-old was absolutely fine.
Conte on Mourinho: "The most important thing now is there is a normal relationship between me & him. For sure tomorrow I will shake his hand"

The pair, as adults mainly do, have buried the hatchet and moved on. For all the childish insults they threw at one another, there is, you sense, a measure of mutual respect on a professional level.
Deep down, though, deep down in the pits of their stomachs and in the back of their minds, you can be sure there is still some seething hatred for each other festering away. They are both fiercely competitive and, crucially, a touch spiteful as well.
You get the feeling that, for all the diplomacy in the buildup, the winner of the final will not just delight in his team’s success but in his opponent’s demise as well. And I wouldn’t want to have it any other way. The water may be calm now, but the cauldron of the FA Cup final is likely to witness some explosions.
