Zinedine Zidane has confirmed that Chelsea and Manchester United target Gareth Bale is unhappy with his current situation in Madrid.
As reported by the Mirror, the former Spurs winger is ‘a bit down’ after falling out of favour at the Bernabeu.
When asked if Bale is unhappy in Spain, Zidane confirmed the player’s frustrations.
Yes, it’s normal because players always want to play every game.
After a season of struggles, Bale has been linked with a move back to the Premier League, most notably to Chelsea and Manchester United.
United have been long-term admirers of the Welshman, while Chelsea have been linked following Madrid’s interest in Eden Hazard.
The 28-year-old has started just 15 times in La Liga this season. The former Spurs forward was also an unused substitute during the club’s 3-0 away victory over Juventus in the Champions League.
Zidane has refused to admit that the player could move on this summer, but rumours about his future are refusing to go away.
