Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has responded to speculation linking him with a move to the Premier League by insisting that he is ‘happy’ and in ‘harmony’ with the Italian club.
The 50-year-old is one of the most highly rated coaches in Europe and is on the verge of guiding his side to their seventh straight Serie A league title.
The speculation comes after reports that Chelsea are looking for a new manager and monitoring Allegri, with Antonio Conte almost certain to leave the club at the end of the season.
Conte has had a difficult season this time around and has seen his side fall out of the top four after a poor run of games.
The Blues however, came back from 2-0 down to beat Southampton 3-2 at the weekend, ending a run of two games without a win and bosting their faint hopes of clinching a Champions League spot next season.
However, the Premier :eague club may struggle to get Allegri’s signature, after his response to the speculation. He said:
I have a contract until 2020 and I am happy here. I am in harmony with the club, I go on vacation when the transfer window opens because I trust the club completely.
Allegri also said:
We will still need to meet some objectives. If we don’t win the Scudetto or the Coppa Italia, they might not still want me. We will talk it over like we do every year.
