Manchester United star David de Gea has revealed that his save against Juan Mata is one of the most defining moment in his career at Old Trafford.
The goalkeeper was under huge scrutiny at the time with there being questions over his ability and whether he’s good enough or not for the top level.
However, in that incredible match against Chelsea, with Mata and Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge at the time, De Gea pulled off an incredible save in stoppage time.
The attacking midfielder took a delightful free-kick for his side that looked set for the top corner but in typical fashion the former Atletico Madrid man showed off his supernatural reflexes and stopped the ball from hitting the back of the net.
United left the match with a point on that day but David grew tenfold after his save in terms of confidence and perhaps even ability as he never looked back.

After the save no one ever doubted the Spaniard again and he was finally allowed the time to adapt to being at Manchester United.
It all worked out in the end for David de Gea as well as his club and with Mourinho ruling out a departure he could even create a legacy for himself.
