James Rodriguez, once said to be a Chelsea target, is set to complete a permanent move to Bayern Munich this summer.
Rodriguez has impressed whilst on loan at the German giants from Real Madrid, and Bayern will pay the release clause to take the Colombian on a permanent deal.
Bayern will pay €42 million for the midfielder, which includes the loan fee paid to Madrid for Rodriguez this season. The Colombian has also given a green light to the move, and looks set to make his move to Germany permanent this Summer.
Rodriguez had reportedly been keen on a switch to the Premier League. Chelsea and Liverpool both took an interest in the Colombian, but a move to England now seems unlikely for the midfielder.
The midfielder has 11 assists at Bayern so far, and has netted five times for the German giants. Rodriguez has thrived under Jupp Heynckes, and wants to continue the relationship next season.
