Chelsea remain keen on a move for Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri, according to reports in Italy.
The impressive tactician has helped his side compete at the very top of Serie A this season and has continued to impress a number of clubs across the continent.
Napoli are keen to tie down Sarri to an extended deal at the Stadio San Paolo but it seems talks have stalled in recent times.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, as cited by Football Italia, Sarri will meet Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis after the team’s clash with Juventus later this month to stage more discussions over his future.
It’s also claimed that Chelsea have been closely following Sarri’s situation at Napoli since January, indicating that they are certainly intent on exploring the possibility of appointing Sarri this summer.
Antonio Conte’s departure from Chelsea is not yet a certainty, but it seems more than likely that the Italian will be replaced at the end of the season.
