Chelsea are reportedly back in the race to hire Luis Enrique this summer, according to The Times.
Previous reports have suggested that the former Barcelona boss was no longer an option for Chelsea, due to his wage demands, but that does not appear to be the case.
Wage demands and style of management is thought to be behind Arsenal ending their interest.
The former Barcelona boss reportedly wants a higher wage that Arsene Wenger is currently on, making an appointment unlikely.
The 47-year-old was among the favourites to replace Wenger this summer.
It was recently confirmed that the Frenchman would step down at the end of the season, paving the way for Arsenal to enter a new era at the club.
Enrique has been out of work since leaving the Catalan outfit and has been heavily linked with both Arsenal and Chelsea.
Chelsea have also been linked with Massimo Allegri and Maurizio Sarri with Antonio Conte set to leave the club.
