Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham says he wants to fight for a place in the club’s first-team squad next season.
As reported by the Mirror, Abraham says he has not given up hope of being named in Gareth Southgate’s World Cup squad, but also has his sights set on Stamford Bridge.
I want to be ready for Chelsea in the summer, that is my aim. I have to finish strong. Look to the World Cup squad this summer and then focus on Chelsea. My aim is to go back and do well with Chelsea. I have been there since 6. My dream, still, is to break into the first team.
The striker made his England debut earlier this season in a friendly against Germany.
Abraham has spent this season on loan at Swansea City to get his first taste of Premier League football.
The striker impressed last season on loan at Bristol City and has found the back of the net four times in the league with the Welsh side.
Antonio Conte reportedly rates the striker very highly but opted to send the striker out on loan this season.
It is yet to be seen who will be in charge at Stamford Bridge next season, something that could give the striker a chance to make his mark.
