Reports suggest that Reiss Nelson is a target for Real Madrid as the youngster continues to stall on a new deal at Arsenal (via Evening Standard).
It’s going to be fascinating to see what happens to Reiss Nelson.
The youngster has broken through into the Arsenal first-team in the last twelve months but his current contract at the club is due to expire in 2019.
The 18-year-old has reportedly stalled on signing a new deal at the Emirates and it seems that we know the reason why.
Reports suggest that Real Madrid lead the race for his signature with the Spanish giants apparently keen on a deal this summer.
He wouldn’t be the first Arsenal younster to move abroad in search of more football in recent years after the likes of Marcus McGuane and Joe Willock left the club.
It’s clear that Reiss Nelson wants to play more first-team football and rightly so. The youngster needs to play regular competitive but it’s unlikely that he’d get it at Real Madrid. With the Premier League season effectively over for Arsenal this season, why not give Nelson more gametime in the league?
