Manchester United target Raphael Varane could surprising be available with reports claiming that Real Madrid have named their price.
Jose Mourinho is set to be a huge admirer of the Frenchman having managed him during the pair’s time at the Spanish capital.
Varane was previously expected to be unsellable by Madrid but recent reports claim that the opposite is true and that they’re willing to part with him.
Should that be the case, United are certainly going to be interested with the centre-back widely regarded to be one of the best young talents in the world.
Whether Mourinho would be willing to part with the money however is another issue entirely, especially given how he seems to be aiming to invest in other areas.
According to HITC, Don Balon report that Real are willing to part with Raphael for €60m in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Many Red Devils’ fans expect Jose to focus on the full-back positions and central midfield as they both appear to be the areas that need the most investment.
Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini are apparently on their way out of the club with their contracts expiring in the summer.
Antonio Valencia is also in need of a capable backup while the left-back spot could also do with some additional, appropriate cover.
Supporters also recognise the need to freshen up the centre-back positions but are hoping that Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof could come together and finally form a partnership.
This means Raphael Varane’s signing may not make any sense on paper but he would certainly add quality to a team that desperately needs it.
