Chelsea winger desperate to sign new contract at the club amid exit rumours

Chelsea winger Willian has spoken of how he is desperate to stay at the club amid fears he could be on his way out this summer.

Speaking to Planeta SporTV recently, the Brazilian international was quizzed about his future. Willian has been linked with a move to Manchester United but spoke only of his desire to stay at Stamford Bridge.

My goal is to stay here at Chelsea. Unless Chelsea does not want me anymore – then I’d have to find another club.

Willian expressed his hopes that Chelsea will reward him with a new contract offer in the near future, further highlighting his commitment to the cause under Antonio Conte.

I want to stay here for many more years, if it is possible, to renew my contract. On that, we have not talked yet. It might happen. I’m adapted here. I will have been here five years at the end of the season, I’ve won titles. I think I have the affection of the fans too.

It has been a difficult season for Chelsea and in recent weeks, Willian has been a shining light. The former Shakhtar Donetsk winger has been in form for the Blues and has found the net on a regular basis of late.

I intend to continue here until the end of my contract, to renew, and to continue for more years. To be honest, today I have no thought of returning to Brazil or even ending my career in Brazil.

My goal is to stay here and, if possible, finish here as well.

The news that the 29-year-old is keen to stay in West London is sure to come as a boost for Chelsea and the club’s fans as they continue to endure a difficult 2017/18 season.
