Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda hopes to enjoy his first experience of winning a trophy during his loan spell with Celtic.
As quoted by Sky Sports, the Belgian youngster opened up on his time at Celtic so far and insisted that his primary focus was on helping the team to secure silverware.
It would be unbelievable to win my first trophy at Celtic. That’s why I’m here. This is a club that constantly deals with the pressure to win trophies. To be a part of that would be fantastic. It would be an amazing experience, especially at a young age.
Musonda joined Brendan Rodgers’ side on an 18-month loan deal in the January transfer window after he put pen to paper on a new long-term contract with Chelsea.
He has since impressed for Celtic, showing signs of quality from out wide. He is still adapting to the style of play in Scotland but is seemingly confident that he can succeed with The Bhoys.
You want to be able to be part of a winning team and have the chance to win trophies is an exciting position to be in, so hopefully we can win trophies this year.
I’d be very happy to achieve that and I’ll be very proud to be part of a club that wins trophies.
The 21-year-old’s ambitions could become reality by the end of the season, with Celtic enjoying yet another successful campaign.
The team are currently on course to retain their league title and could well secure the Scottish treble for two seasons on the bounce.
This would be a historic achievement for Celtic and Musonda will be desperate to contribute to their success.
