Chelsea reach agreement with promising defender

Chelsea Football Club have confirmed via Twitter that young defender Trevoh Chalobah has put pen to paper on an extended contract at Stamford Bridge.

The promising youngster has often been hailed as one of the best players in the Blues’ academy and after extensive negotiations in recent times, Chalobah has committed his future to Chelsea.

Chalobah, who is still just 18, extends his stay in West London until the summer of 2021, by which time he will hope to have been integrated into the club’s first-team plans.

The defender has been a regular in Antonio Conte’s training sessions with the senior side this season, implying that the Italian boss holds Chalobah in high regard.

Chalobah reached another milestone in recent times, also. He was named on the bench in Chelsea’s disappointing 1-0 defeat against Manchester City for the first time ever in the Premier League.
