Chelsea have reportedly been keeping tabs on Manchester United target Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
The Mirror reports that both Chelsea and United have earmarked the defender as a possible alternative to Spurs’ Toby Alderweireld.
United reportedly lead the way in the race to sign the Greek defender, but Chelsea are watching his situation with interest.
Alderweireld is widely expected to leave Spurs during the summer after failing to agree on a new deal at the club.
Both Chelsea and United have been linked with a move for the Belgian, but Spurs will be desperate not to sell to a direct rival.

The 29-year-old, who has been ever-present for Dortmund this season, is being valued at £20 million by the Bundesliga outfit.
United will be in the market for a central defender this summer. Mourinho has been unable to find a settled partnership at the back.
Chelsea themselves have concerns over the long-term futures of both Gary Cahill and David Luiz, who have both struggled for any kind of form this season.
