Chelsea have been interested in signing Gremio star Arthur for a long time, but they seemingly gave up their pursuit of him when it looked like Barcelona had agreed to sign him.
However, as reported by the Mirror, the deal to take the Brazilian star to the Nou Camp has now collapsed, meaning Chelsea can swoop in, if they so wish.
The stumbling block between Barca and Gremio was the asking price as the Brazilian side wanted £45m for their prized asset, whilst Barcelona were only willing to pay £35m.

Antonio Conte, should he still be at Chelsea come the summer, will want to improve his midfield options and for £45m, he could rekindle his interest in signing the 21-year-old.
Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United have all been linked with moves for Arthur too, but Chelsea seem the most likely side to sign him in the summer, provided they maintain their Champions League status by securing a top four finish, or by winning the competition this season.
