Roman Abramovich has reportedly drawn up a four-man shortlist of managers who he would consider hiring if Antonio Conte leaves Chelsea.
Despite a run of poor results and performances, it was revealed earlier this week that Conte would not be sacked, however, a couple more bad results could see things change, given Abramovich’s track record.
If he does sack the Italian, here are the four men he apparently has in mind for taking over at Stamford Bridge:
Thomas Tuchel
The former Borussia Dortmund coach is apparently Abramovich’s preferred option and he’s reported to have already held talks with Chelsea.
Luis Enrique
Luis Enrique took a break from management after his successful spell at Barcelona. He’s certainly got the credentials to be a Chelsea manager.
Marco Silva
Silva is very highly thought of by many observers, although his conduct at Watford has not gone unnoticed. Still, he’s a bright, young coach with his best years ahead of him.
Carlo Ancelotti
We’ve seen in the past that Abramovich isn’t afraid to go back to a manager he’s sacked previously. Ancelotti was hugely popular with the Chelsea fanbase and he would be welcomed back with open arms by the supporters.
