Eden Hazard has backed his teammates Àlvaro Morata to rediscover his goalscoring form once he returns from injury

Eden Hazard has backed Àlvaro Morata to rediscover his early season goalscoring form for Chelsea when he returns from injury.

Currently out injured with a back problem, Morata looks likely to once again miss out for Chelsea’s next Premier League game, when the Blues’ host West Brom on Monday night.

Having started off this season in spectacular form, the Spaniard, who became Chelsea’s club-record signing in the summer, has made headlines since December for his missed chances more than his better performances.

Having scored his last goal for the club on Boxing Day, Morata is desperate to put his barren spell behind him, and Hazard is certain that he will do so quickly. Talking to Spanish outlet Marca, Hazard said;

Yes, he’s very happy. He’s scoring although he’s a bit injured and he can’t help the team.

But we have a lot of Spaniards and it helps his adaptation.

He’s a fantastic player and he will score a lot of goals for us, I’m sure.

He can score with both feet and his head, it’s incredible.

Chelsea fell to a shock 4-1 defeat at Watford on Monday night, a result that has put Antonio Conte’s job further under the spotlight. However Hazard is confident that his side will finish the season strong, despite their slight dip in form as of late. He continued;

What is happening is that we won last season and now people want us to win again. But you know that the Premier League is very difficult, we have already lost a few times this year and we have three months left.

We still have the FA Cup and the Champions League and at the end of the day, our season could still be very good.

Now we feel bad, but we have to wait until the end.

We give our all on the pitch, sometimes things don’t go the same as in training, like now, but we have to wait because, at the end, we could still win a trophy.
