Manchester United fans had every right to be pleased with new signing Alexis Sanchez’s performance vs Yeovil Town in the FA Cup.
The Red Devils played away from Old Trafford and Jose Mourinho decided to hand a debut start to the Chilean who did not fail to impress.
Sanchez was signed from Arsenal in the deal of the January transfer window with Henrikh Mkhitaryan going the other way to the Emirates.
Although some fans were unhappy to lose the Armenian, they were pleased that they signed such a talented player without any cash being involved in the deal.
Playing from his preferred position in the left wing, Alexis did not fail to impress, popping up all over the pitch and laying a mark on the match.
I think Keown is going ott with some of his comments re Sanchez. Said the Chilean was ‘ignoring’ Rashford, when it was Sanchez who looked for Rashford for the goal. Sanchez the best and most creative player in the first 45 mins.

Would much rather watch a player like Sánchez who actually attempts the difficult passes rather than someone who shies away from them. Might lose the ball and possession occasionally, but it will eventually come off. Has played well so far.

Sanchez and Mata love playing with each other. Two clever footballers feeding each other. Can't wait for Pogba to join the party

Everything positive going forward has started with Sanchez. He might've misplaced a couple passes but he's made a impact.

A lot has been made of the position in which Alexis Sanchez will feature in with fears that he could be detrimental to some of United’s youngsters’ development.
The former Barcelona star has a preference to feature from the left, cutting in onto his right foot to score goals and provide plenty of assists.
However, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial have typically been the go to men for that role and could see their game time diminish.
In the attacking midfield position, Jesse Lingard‘s recent incredible form there has meant he’s practically undroppable.
On the right is arguably his best chance with Juan Mata perhaps being the most dispensable player out of the Red Devils’ attacking front four.
