Former footballer encourages Fulham star to sign for Man Utd

Former Fulham man Jimmy Bullard has encouraged young star Ryan Sessegnon to sign for Manchester United amidst reports of interest from the club.

The versatile Englishman has been linked with the Red Devils heavily of late and was even expected to complete a transfer this window.

Some rumours also claimed that Jose Mourinho was happy to loan the player back to the Championship side in order for him to continue his development.

Capable of featuring in left-back or left wing, Sessegnon quickly represented an attractive prospect for United to invest in.

Bullard believes that he shouldn’t resist interest from the big clubs and instead sign as soon as possible in order to take his chance.

According to Get West London, Jimmy said in his weekly column for Bet Bright: “Fulham youngster Ryan Sessegnon has got an important decision to make at some point in the close future, with clubs like PSG, Manchester United and Spurs all showing interest in him and I’m not surprised.

“It’s a nice position to be in, but difficult choices have to be made. If you ask me, he’s got to go to a big club like PSG or United if they come in for him, because he may never get the opportunity again.”

Ryan’s ability to perform in defence or midfield makes him a prospect capable of replacing a couple of the Red Devils current players.

Left-back has been an issue for Manchester United for a while now and initial reports claimed that the youngster would replace a deflated Luke Shaw.

However, rumours have since stated that Shaw has actually managed to win over Jose Mourinho with the Portuguese manager willing to give him one last chance.

Ryan Sessegnon though has scored seven goals and assisted four times in the Championship for Fulham this season, making it a possibility to permanently turn him into a winger.

The 17 year old would certainly represent a purchase for the future but perhaps Manchester United would like to invest in him before his value skyrockets and he becomes too expensive.
