Manchester United fans are going to love watching Alexis Sanchez, club captain Michael Carrick says.
The Chilean forward made his debut for the club on Friday night with a Man of the Match performance in the Reds’ 4-0 win against Yeovil Town in the FA Cup Fourth Round.
Sanchez looked confident and showed his quality before being subbed off for Jesse Lingard, who scored Man United’s third goal of the game.
Carrick was returning to action after some months on the sidelines following a heart condition.
“Sanchez isn’t too bad for a little man. He’s going to be a terrific player, a proper Man United player,” Carrick said.
The 29-year-old is certainly in the mound of a classic United player: determined, strong, fast, ruthless and exciting.
Carrick described his new teammate pretty perfectly.
“It’s great to have him here, so exciting. He’s dynamic, always looking for opportunities to play it forward and the fans are going to enjoy watching him.”
Sanchez is an instant injection of quality into United’s side midway through the season. For fans, there’s no doubt he’ll be fantastic to watch.
Against Yeovil, he showed signs of his class and United fans are no stranger to his brilliance in the Premier League after three and a half fantastic seasons at Arsenal. The quality which was once frustrating to watch because it was for Arsenal is now deeply entertaining.
